A Southern Gothic family drama in which wealth, power and religion intersect -- more correctly, collide -- with outrageously soapy results. Meet the Monreauxes, a mega-rich Southern family famed for creating a successful Christian television network. On the cusp of launching a digital retail arm of the company, the family's patriarch, Eugene, dies in a plane crash, leaving his wife, Margaret, to take charge of the family business. Not surprisingly, Eugene's apparent death greatly impacts the family, who are stunned to learn that Eugene fathered three illegitimate children, all of whom are written into his will. Filthy Rich wants to be more clever than it is, but its overly dramatic plot twists (Eugene's body isn't discovered in the plane crash) can be spotted a mile away by anyone who's seen even a single episode of Dallas.

Mia W I can't believe all these bad reviews. This show was great for what it was … fun, campy, over-the-top entertainment, and Kim Cattrall was fabulous in it! Sure, after a few episodes, it began to drag, but then it picked right back up again, and at the end, I couldn't wait for a 2nd season! I'm still disappointed it was cancelled. I love that Kim Cattrall has moved on and starred in new shows post-SATC. This one suited her perfectly. It should've been given another season, but either way, the first season is still worth a watch.
