How to make an End Portal in Minecraft?
In a Nutshell:
To make an end portal, place three end portal frames in order to build one side of the portal. Proceed to then turn in a circular motion and place End Portal frames on each side. Then add the Eye of Enders into each End Portal frame by clicking on each frame with the Eye of Enders in your hand, but be careful not to stumble in after adding the last one.
Step-by-Step Guide(with Pictures):
Here is the step-by-step pictorial guide you need to follow to make an end portal in Minecraft:
Step-1 You will first need to build the frame of the End Portal. To do this, first place three end portal frames in order to build one side of the portal. Proceed to then turn in a circular motion and place End Portal frames on each side.
TIP: Be sure that the tabs in green which are on top of end portal frames are facing the inside of the portal.
Step-2 Now you need to add the Eye of Enders into each End Portal frame by clicking on each frame with the Eye of Enders in your hand.
Make sure you pause before placing the 12th and final Eye of Ender into the last empty portal. This is because if you place the final Eye of Ender while standing inside the portal, you will be automatically teleported to the End dimension, with no time to prepare yourself for what is to come.

FAQs on End Portal
Q. How do you find and complete an End Portal in a stronghold?
A. To find a stronghold you will have to throw an Eye of Ender in the air. When you throw an Eye of Ender you will see it go in a certain direction, hover in the air, then drop to the ground. This will be the way you need to go, you will need to follow this direction until the Eye of Enders you throw in the air continually hover over one spot; this indicates where you must now dig down.
It should be mentioned that the Eye of Ender’s has a chance of breaking when thrown in the air, so you will most likely need a few to find a stronghold.
Once you’re inside the stronghold you will have to do a bit of looking around as the End Portal will be somewhere inside, upon finding the End Portal you will have to fill in the missing Eye of Enders as discussed above in this guide.
Q. Can you break the End Portal well in Survival?
A. You are unable to move portal frames in Survival, they are unbreakable and immovable.
Conclusion
End Portals are used to access the End dimension in the game and can only be created on desire in creative mode. In regular survival mode, if you would like to complete an end portal to access the end, you must find one inside a stronghold as detailed above in the guide.

How Do You Make an End Portal in Minecraft? In Creative Mode, you can build your own End Portal. You can't craft the frame pieces, but you can search for them on the inventory screen. Open the inventory screen and add 12 Eyes of Ender and 12 End Portal Frames to your hotbar.
In order to activate, the end portal frames must be oriented correctly; the front face of each portal block must be pointed inward toward the 3×3 portal area. This can be achieved by the player standing in the center of the portal area and rotating to place the frames in a ring around them.
Activation. To activate the portal, a player must right click on the 12 end portal frames while having the Eye of Ender selected. This should activate the portal and let a player enter the End.
When closer than 12 blocks to the northwest corner of the staircase chunk, the eye will travel downward, to indicate the player is above a stronghold and must mine downward. After two or three seconds of travel, the eye floats in the air briefly, then either falls (becoming collectable again) or shatters in mid-air.
Endermen can spawn on any solid surface that has at least three empty spaces above, at the light level of 0 in the Overworld and the End, or a light level of 7 or less in the Nether. They are the only mobs that spawn in all 3 dimensions.
With these three steps, those pesky ruins should now be found! The only way an eye of ender is wrong is if the chunks were already generated with a version older then 1.18.
A ruined portal is a naturally generated damaged nether portal, which spawns in both the Nether and the Overworld. It contains some decoration and a loot chest around it.
So, select the flint and steel in your hotbar. Position your pointer (the plus sign) on a bottom block of obsidian and then use the flint and steel. The game control to use the flint and steel depends on the version of Minecraft: For Java Edition (PC/Mac), right click on the block.
In the crafting menu, you should see a crafting area that is made up of a 3x3 crafting grid. To make flint and steel, place 1 iron ingot and 1 flint in the 3x3 crafting grid. When making flint and steel, it is important that the iron ingot and flint are placed in the exact pattern as the image below.
